Prime Peer is an independent, fully Open Access publisher in science, technology, and engineering. We do not rely on government or private grants; instead, we sustain our operations through Article Processing Charges (APCs) collected only after a manuscript has successfully passed peer review and received an editorial acceptance decision.
APCs cover editorial management, rigorous double-blind peer review, XML/HTML/PDF production, website hosting, long-term archiving, and customer support. There are no submission fees at Prime Peer.

Prime Peer offers automatic discounts or full waivers for corresponding authors based in low and middle-income countries and for institutions with Prime Peer membership agreements. Authors facing genuine financial constraints may request an additional waiver during submission; each request is assessed confidentially and independently of editorial decisions.
We recognize that authors may occasionally need to withdraw a submission. To request withdrawal, the corresponding author must email the editorial office with:
The editorial office will confirm the request with all listed co-authors and, if relevant, notify assigned editors and reviewers.
| Withdrawal Stage | Fee (USD) | Rationale |
|---|---|---|
| After initial submission but before peer review assignment | No fee | Minimal administrative processing incurred |
| After peer review begins, but before acceptance | $199 | Partial recovery of editorial and reviewer costs |
| After formal acceptance, before online publication | 50% of the invoiced APC | Significant editorial, production, and layout costs already incurred |
Important: Prime Peer cannot process withdrawal requests arising from authorship or data ownership disputes. Such issues must be resolved among the authors or their institutions before a manuscript is submitted.
For questions about APCs, waivers, or manuscript withdrawals, please contact the editorial office at support@primepeer.org.
Prime Peer remains committed to transparent pricing, equitable access, and the highest standards of scholarly publishing.
